You spawn on a small, tree-covered island, but what is truly close is an Amethyst Geode just about 14 blocks from your spawn point. This means you can get started with valuable amethyst shards almost immediately, without having to venture far from your initial landing spot. It is a nice bonus for a relatively simple spawn.

While the immediate surroundings are a small island and vast ocean, the presence of a Mineshaft about 200 blocks away and a Shipwreck just over 200 blocks away means early resource gathering and loot are within reasonable reach. These structures offer good starting points for gear and materials.

If you are looking for a bigger challenge, a Trial Chambers structure is about 294 blocks from spawn. This provides an early-game combat and exploration objective, offering a good test of your initial survival skills and quick access to new challenges.

Around spawn

You begin your journey standing at Y=67 in a Flower Forest biome on a modest island. The terrain is generally flat around your spawn, covered in a dense growth of trees and flowers, with water immediately surrounding the island. You will have plenty of wood and flora within arm's reach for your first crafting needs.

Structures

Beyond the very close Amethyst Geode, you will find a Buried Treasure about 121 blocks away and a Mineshaft about 200 blocks from spawn. Other structures, like the Ocean Monument about 767 blocks out, require a more significant trip.

Biomes

Your immediate area is dominated by Ocean and Deep Ocean, making up a large percentage of the surrounding 2048-block box. The spawn biome, Flower Forest, is a small but pleasant patch. You will also find Plains and Beach biomes within about 50 blocks.
