You spawn in a tranquil Pale Garden, a relatively rare biome, at coordinates (-40, -88). The immediate area is fairly flat, but head slightly east, and you'll find a massive crater with a deep lake at its bottom. This striking natural feature dominates the landscape close to spawn and is an appealing early game landmark.

Underneath this unique terrain, an Amethyst Geode awaits just about 35 blocks from your spawn point, offering a quick source of crystals. Further down, about 183 blocks from spawn, an Ancient City lies ready for exploration beneath the surface. This proximity to valuable underground structures makes the initial calm of the Pale Garden quite deceptive.

For those who enjoy a mountainous landscape, a Grove biome is about 233 blocks away, leading to higher elevations. Even closer, a Dripstone Caves biome is about 91 blocks out, promising interesting subterranean adventures not far from where you begin your journey.
